The overall goal of this site is to provide me, John Herrell, with a personal portfolio and
digital canvas to portray my work. I will add sections to include other aspects of my life as time allows.
Waiting on spring... Here it it the middle of February, and we are finally getting the snow off the
ground. So, what have I been doing with myself? I have been slowly working on my 46 Chevy truck project.
I've also been involved in several other projects with friends too, so keep an eye out for blog posts regarding the
cool and sick stuff we like to build.

VStar 650 - Installing the KJS Single Carb Conversion Kit
A lot of traffic
has been generated because of some updates and modifications I made to my 2000 V-Star. I got sick and tired of messing
around with trying to synch the dual carb setup, and started looking for alternative carb solutions. I found the
KJS kit by chance, and even though I could fabricate my own manifold, I decided to run with this solution. The
article I wrote up for converting the V-Star from a dual carb setup to a single carb setup can be
found here.
Call of Duty Black Ops came out on November 9, 2010. I play quite frequently on XBOX Live. Feel free to join me.
Site News
My personal website updates have been lacking lately, with the exception of regular blog updates. I am still slowly working
on my personal profile section. I hope to have this completed soon, but that is all based on when and where I have time and motivation.
It is graphical (lots of screen shots), data-driven, and consists of both a public front-end (limited) and private (account based).

Work
I started a new job on June 30th, 2010. I am very much enjoying the work and the people I am associated with. This position is
a contract-to-hire position, and I would very much like to have the opportunity to be brought on-board full time. I have been working
outside my norm and learning some new technologies, including DNN, SharePoint MOSS, and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Blog Updates
I made some upgrades to my blog. Nothing major, just a new version of the engine behind it. I did
encounter a few minor issues, but nonetheless, I figured it out. Check out my post on

Awesome!!!
That is all I can say about this game. Bar none, it has to be the best first person shooter game I have played to date. I
really do enjoy console games, and this is definitely a 5 on a 5 point scale.
The second map pack has been out
since the beginning of June 2010, and I still enjoy playing this game. My XBOX screen name is SICSlash, so add me and
we can frag out together!
